Our bodies are rivers of elements. Matter flows through us, temporarily becoming our form and then dispersing. Except for (most of) our neurons and cardiomyocytes, the atoms that formed our physical beings 10 years ago are once again circulating in a vast pool, available for or already being used in some other form.
We have a saying, “You can’t take it with you.” Yet we strive to accumulate stuff in this world. We live with the illusion that we own things. But someday, someone else will call our home their home, or it will fall into ruin. Our land will be someone else’s land. Our treasures will be someone else’s treasures or will end up in the landfill. Our cars will be sold on used car lots or rust in junkyards. All our possessions, including our physical beings, are temporary.
Who we are is lost in 3 or 4 generations after we are gone. Descendants may know we existed, but won’t know us.
However, the effects our lives have on this timeline are magnified over years and centuries. Everything we do becomes a determining factor for the future. That is the “Butterfly Effect”. We chose our actions at any given moment. It is not predestined that we go a certain way. Yet God’s Plan will be accomplished. That is the paradox of free will and Supreme Order.
“I know that You Can Do all things; no Purpose of Yours can be thwarted…” Job 42:2
“For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His Hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?” Isaiah 14:27b
Despite the missteps in our lives, God’s Creation will be Restored.
Similar to a fractal, All of God is everywhere at once. Omnipresent. God’s Being encompasses everything. The Entirety of God is held in everything, everywhere. We ourselves are extension’s of the Fractal, created in God’s Image. It is similar to how our own DNA, the blueprint for our whole physical self, is in every cell of our being.
“All things were created through Him (Jesus) and for Him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17
“One God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all” Ephesians 4:6
Because we contain All of God in us, God’s Law is written on our hearts.
“But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put My Law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Jeremiah 31:33
“They ( the Gentiles) show that the work of the Law is written on their hearts…” Romans 2:15a
The Law of God is our conscience. Because God’s Law is written on our hearts, we know we should live by the spirit of God’s Law – not the letter. And the spirit of God’s Law is Love.
(Jesus said) “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41b
Jesus conquered evil on the Cross and Lives again fully in God’s Kingdom. He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in us and help us fight against the desires of our weak flesh. The Holy Spirit turns our attention from this temporary world to God’s Eternal Kingdom.
We were once stuck in this world like monkeys who won’t let go of a fistful of peanuts to get their hands out of jars. Monkey-catchers capture them and their freedom is lost. All the monkeys had to do was let go of the peanuts, and they could have escaped. But their hearts and minds were filled with desire for those peanuts.
Jesus came to shatter the jars that trap us.
When we completely live in You, Lord, and You in us, our whole being turns and focuses on You. The Joy and Relief of Your Saving Grace fills us, and we no longer desire the things of this world. We see everything is temporary. We are free to share everything because we no longer depend on “stuff” for our happiness. We long to do Your Will, God, so that our legacy, the effect of our lives on this timeline contribute to the Restoration of Your Creation and Supreme Order. Then all suffering will end, and Your Peace shall Reign.
Thank You for coming to Rescue us, Jesus. Thank you for fixing us and rejoining us fully to Your Fractal. Thank You for putting us back on the Path to Eternal Life instead of the deadends we were following. Thank you for giving us our Freedom back – the Freedom to live in Your Kingdom where we belong, so we may walk with You each day. We can take one thing to the grave… Your Salvation! You are truly Awesome, and Kind, and Loving! I’m so relieved to be back where I belong.
