I Was Here. Where were you?

I was worn out this weekend – physically, mentally, and spiritually. I understood the physical part because last week was busy, but I didn’t understand the mental and spiritual depression. You Desire an intimate Friendship with me at all times, and I had disconnected. You were not absent, but I was too wrapped up in all the demands on my time to notice You. You are the Bridegroom; I am the Bride. I draw all my Strength from You. I ran out of “gas” because I didn’t stop to touch base with You when I was running low. First and Foremost, Lord, You Desire to be in Communion with us. It’s a comfortable, undemanding, abiding in each other, where we are Loved and Accepted for who we are. Our lives are to be Metaphors for Your Saving Grace. All else we do and say for You springs from the fertile ground of our Relationship.

“I Am the Vine; you are the branches. If a person remains in Me and I in them, they will bear much Fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing… As the Father has Loved Me, so have I Loved you. Now remain in My Love…I have told you this so that My Joy may be in you and that your Joy may be complete… I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his Master’s Business.
