Walk in Faith

“For God has not given us a Spirit of fear and timidity, but of Power, Love, and Self-discipline.” 2Timothy 1:7

Knowing that our existence in this space-time is a blip compared to Eternal Life in the Kingdom of God, we know deep down that getting C19 is not the worst thing that can happen to us. We diligently follow social distancing, masking, and other guidelines, citing the breakthrough cases we know of or have heard of, despite precautions. But are we aware of the impact that isolating ourselves has on souls?

Out of fear and timidity, have we stopped “Feeding the Lord’s sheep” and “Making Disciples of all Nations”. People are left to believe that preserving their physical lives is of paramount importance. People, who may have turned and received God’s Salvation, are instead still lost. Maybe they even died not knowing the Joy of God’s Salvation. We then become responsible for their wandering in the wilderness.

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26

At one time during this pandemic, we were all Called to be cautious, but now we are Called to Walk in Faith. We are Called to Walk in Paths of Righteousness, to come together at The Lord’s Table in the presence of our enemies, to share with others in need, to lead others to green pastures, besides still waters – so the Lord may Restore all souls to God.

Let us once more Walk together in Faith, with confidence in our Lord’s Promise of Salvation.
